How To Stop Heartburn And Acidity Using These Dietary Changes - Experts Has Revealed; 5 Easy Home Remedies

Homemade recipes for acidity: Some basic changes in health and dietary pattern may help reduce the symptoms of acidity and heartburn.

We all are very aware of the discomfort due to acidity, indigestion, and heartburn problem. These digestive issues are very common to all. But we often do not give enough attention. One of the causes could be its short spell; hence, we go for a temporary solution like taking pills, fruit salt, and digestion syrups to ease off the pain and irritation. However, as per consultant nutritionist Miss Rupali Datta, "Acidity and heartburn, if not treated well, can lead to severe damage to our health." And one such severity is Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. Frequent episodes of heartburn lead to GRED, where the stomach acid irritates our inner food pipe by flowing back to the esophagus a big tube that connects our stomach to the mouth.

Hence, it is always told to take good and proper care of our health and diet to overcome these irritations. "A healthy life is a must to maintain good digestive body health. Some people are eating the right kind of food at the right time, eat small amounts frequently, sit straight while eating, chew your food properly, and many more," explained Rupali Datta.

Adding to these healthy lifestyle rules, a new study has come up with some basic guidelines that can help reduce the symptoms of heartburn, especially in women. This research on diet, lifestyle, and health of a woman has found 5 factors that can make a significant impact on gastroesophageal reflux. The researches were published in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine.

The 5 factors that may help  to remove Heartburn And Acidity:

  • Please quit smoking.
  • Maintain coffee, tea, and sodas to 2 cups a day.
  • Maintain a prudent diet. It is a diet pattern dominated by legumes, fruits, veggies, low-fat dairy et al. It also restricts the consumption of processed foods, red meat, calorific foods, eggs, etc.

Besides, these dietary changes, the researchers also advise:

  • Maintain a normal weight.
  • Moderate-to-vigorous physical activity for at least 30 minutes daily strictly.

Researchers surveyed almost 43,000 women, aged between 42 and 62, from 2005 to 2017. The participants were asked to follow the guidelines properly. The survey also included many types of questions regarding GRED or heartburn symptoms. They found that the women who strictly followed the guidelines had a lower risk of the symptoms.

This research provides us evidence that common and debilitating gastrointestinal problems could be nicely controlled in many cases with diet and lifestyle modifications alone," says Dr. Andrew T. Chan, MD, MPH, the study's senior author.

With these factors, Dr. Rupali Datta further shared 5 easy food tips and homemade recipes to combat acidity and symptoms. Let's take a look:
